Why this site exists
A few years ago I bought my first pizza oven and made a pizza that looked like a map of a country that doesn't exist yet. I kept at it. Somewhere around pizza number thirty, it clicked — and pizza night became the best night of our week.
The trouble is, shopping for a pizza oven is confusing. Wood or gas? Portable or patio? Why does one cost as much as a used car? I built Pizza Oven Zen to answer those questions in plain English — the way I'd explain it to a friend over a cold drink while the oven heats up.
How we test (the short version)
Real pizzas, real backyards, real mistakes. We heat each oven the way you actually would, cook a stack of pizzas, and pay attention to the stuff that matters at home: how fast it heats, how evenly it cooks, how easy it is for a nervous first-timer, and how honest the "portable" claim really is.
